‘The Gun’ Anderson would like to announce
that he has parted ways with Queensland
based car owner Dave Horrell and his Horrell
Motorsport team which comes into effect
immediately.
In
a decision that came as a complete shock
to ‘The Gun’, Horrell informed him recently
that he will no longer going to be driving
the QLD # 83 Horrell Motorsport Eagle and
that a new driver is going to fill the vacated
seat.
“Although
we didn’t have the best of seasons, I feel
that we had ironed out a lot of the bugs
with the car and better results were on
the horizon,” ‘The Gun’ stated. “I’d be
lying if I said that I wasn’t disappointed
with the way things have worked out but
I guess that Dave [Horrell] has made the
decision in his best interest and I respect
that.”
Looking
into the future, ‘The Gun’ is now set to
return to the family owned Anderson Motorsport
VIC # 37 Wagga Mobile Cranes supported Foster
on a full-time basis and plans to run the
entire 10/11 season.
“With
the deal with Horrell Motorsport now over
I can focus on running the family owned
car and that is something the whole family
is very much looking forward to,” he expressed.
“All of my sponsors are locally based and
although I raced the majority of this season
with another team they have stuck by me
and I’m looking forward to repaying them
for all their loyalty.”
